Calcite on Mottramite on Duftite$2,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This triple layered miniature of Calcite on Mottramite on Duftite is from, where else but the Tsumeb mine in northern Namibia and what a beauty it is! Translucent, buff Calcite crystals almost entirely cover a shallow dome of dark green Mottramite, the latter coating a hidden core of massive, banded Duftite. The Duftite is not visible when displayed, but composes the whole base when turned over. The Duftite’s colour is exquisite and if it were mine, I could be persuaded to display it with the base facing up! The Duftite has formed nested rings in a stalactitic growth pattern, of vibrant, rich deep limey apple green, forming delicate concentric bands as fine as a good agate. The Mottramite forms a micro-crystallised black to dark olive green crust covered with Calcite crystals averaging 5 to 8 mm, although the largest measures 2.4 cm. A fine miniature of Calcite, Mottramite and Duftite.\n
