Wire transfers available, to set up
An old time small cabinet specimen of nicely crystallised Galena surrounded by micro-crystals of Quartz from a mine in the Matlock area of Derbyshire, England. many of the Galena crystals are modified to the octahedral habit, the largest and most impressive measuring 2 cm on its longest edge. All the galena has maintained a bright metallic silver colour and lustre and is a rare and fine example of Galena from Derbyshire. The specimen is accompanied with two old labels, both German, and each carried the number 1890; I suspect this is the Catalogue number, not a date. However, the larger label has 1859 written at the bottom.
