A very showy, burgundy coloured, complete dodecahedral Almandine crystal perched upon chloritic schist from the classic European alpine locality at Granatenkogel north slope in Austria. The crystal measures an impressive 41 mm across. It has minor abrasion on one corner and along two edges away from the main direction of display and is included in places with streaks of schist. However, it naturally sits well for display and has a second partial crystal displaying from the base. A really lovely example of crystal form in a small cabinet specimen.
