Chalcedony ps. after Fluorite$160.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Pale blue cubic pseudomorphs of Quartz var. Chalcedony after Fluorite from Trestia in Maramureș County, Romania have been known about for centuries but good specimens remain rare. This lovely example, with cubic crystals to 1.2 cm on edge, was collected many years ago, but its exact find date is not known. It is accompanied by three old collection labels but most recently was in Arvid Pasto's Fluorite collection (no. 1479) apparently without a separate label. Of the other labels, these show that it was owned by Kenny Gay, and Steve and Laurie Adams along with an earlier, unidentified collector. There is damage to some of the crystal pseudomorphs, but reading about this occurrence it is apparent that pristine specimens simply do not exist. This very large miniature specimen is a really fine example.
