Description
A fine plate of acidic lemon yellow Fluorite crystals, many with white frosted centres, makes an impressive cabinet display specimen from Hilton mine in Scordale, Cumbria, England. The cubic crystals measure up to 1.8 cm on edge with the exception of one elongated gemmy crystal 2.7 cm long, forming an interpenetrant twin. The opaque, white frosted centres contribute to the overall aesthetic, providing contrast in both colour and transparency. A most attractive and showy Hilton Fluorite.\n
