Wulfenite with Calcite$3,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
The combination of butterscotch candy orange Wulfenite richly overgrown with lustrous creamy white Calcite makes for a most gorgeous cabinet specimen from the Erupción mine at Los Lamentos in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Wulfenite forms large tabular square blades, characteristic of this mine, with undulating, sometimes ragged edges, averaging around 1.2 x 1.2 cm square and 1 to 3 mm thick. The odd blade does have a broken edge, yet these are difficult to distinguish from the naturally uneven edges on the perfectly formed crystals. The Wulfenite is translucent to opaque, with the majority of crystals predominantly enveloped with a thick drusy encrustation of highly lustrous and shimmering micro-crystals of Calcite. The underlying matrix is a hard rusty gossan, mainly limonite shot through with Calcite. It is a beautiful example of Wulfenite wrapped in a blanket of lustrous Calcite from the world-famous Erupción mine.
