Tetrahedrite
Tetrahedrite from Müsen, Siegerland, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany is so rarely seen for sale, and this is a stunner. Small cabinet in size the display surface is richly covered in highly reflective, dark grey, sharp tetrahedral 'Tetrahedrite' crystals varying is size from 1 or 2 mm up to 8 mm on edge. It should of course be noted that Tetrahedrite is now a redundant species name - the former species having be divided into many new species under the umbrella of the Tetrahedrite Group and Tetrahedrite Subgroup. The only details we have seen online relating Müsen crystals falls under the composition of Tetrahedrite-(Zn), but I would imagine that collectors will still call them Tetrahedrite for many years to come. This fine specimen was formerly in the stunning collection assembled by brothers Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 & 1956-2021). The lustre really is incredible on these crystals and it will make a superb addition to any collection, whether that is German, sulphosalts, or simply variants of 'Tetrahedrite'.
