NATIVE Copper, Cuprite with PHILIPSBORNITE and Mimetite$300.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Areas of dark, dendritic Native Copper, peppered with micro-crystals of Cuprite and rare Mimetite, form aggregates on and in a vuggy milky Quartz matrix from Wheal Unity in the parish of Gwennap, Cornwall. Yellow crusts of Philipsbornite are abundant on the specimen, with some silvery-grey Arsenopyrite and what appears to be a single Cerussite crystal. Generally the Native Copper forms as hackly filaments forming a micro-spongy texture, oxidised to a sooty black, yet with odd patches remaining untarnished, bright metallic copper red. Admittedly a rather ugly specimen, but mineralogically fascinating, typical of many Cornish mineral assemblages.\n
