A superbly crystallised Atacamite from La Farola mine, located on the lofty slopes of Cerro Pintado, a mountain in Copiapó Province within the Atacama Region of Chile. Gemmy, deep emerald green Atacamite crystals exceeding 5 mm in length form flattened radial sprays with a bright and glassy lustre. The Atacamite, together with micro-botryoidal, lustrous bluish-green Pseudomalachite completely coats a roughly 10 x 3 cm surface of an iron stained and impregnated Quartz matrix.
