TANGDANITE
Tangdanite is a relatively new calcium copper arsenate sulphate hydroxide hydrate species, related to Tyrolite with which it looks very similar. Described in 2012, it is identical to the species formerly known as Clinotyrolite, which has been renamed. The Bartolomej mining field in Slovakia has produced some of the richest specimens of this mineral and this miniature specimen is a great example. Upon it, Tangdanite forms blue-green pearlescent flat-lying sprays along joint surfaces and fractures with a little Clinoclase in association. This specimen has been repaired at some point. It is not obvious without magnification, but it has been carefully glued along a fracture almost through the middle of the specimen.
