This beautiful and unusual Aragonite stalactite from Helmand in Afghanistan has an otherworldly quality to it. Its base (really the top) presents an eye-catching vivid turquoise-blue colour from natural copper staining - reminiscent of some classic Hemimorphite specimens. This colour transitions upwards through pale blue to creamy-white with the stalactite branching in two directions. Texturally, it has a super velvety to silky lustre. A custom-made acryllic base helps to present the specimen in a dramatic fashion. A very pretty display specimen.
