Quartz epimorph after Fluorite$1,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This super cabinet specimen is composed of milky white Quartz forming crisp epimorphs after former octahedral Fluorite from the Sunnyside Mine Group at Bonita Peak, Gladstone, in the Eureka District of San Juan County, Colorado, USA. This group of mines worked a gold-lead-manganese-silver-zinc-copper vein-hosted deposit in the Eureka graben. Sunnyside mine began in the late 1880s, eventually closing in 1938 and in this time 39 different mineral species were recorded. This specimen, in addition to the top surface of octahedral epimorphs, also contains a cavernous interior formed through the epimorph processes in which smaller epimorphs reside. Its a terrific specimen and from a mining area which seldom appears on the collecting radar.
