Pink Topaz
Probably from the 1982-83 finds at this little hill at Katlang, Pakistan comes this superb, totally gem and glassy, single Topaz crystal. Due to their unique and lovely color, elongation and termination, these Topazes from this locality are often considered as "Imperial" style as the ones from Brazil, but they are from the classic locality in Katlang and are unique to that place. This relatively small deposit has produced the only Topaz of such color in the Himalayas. This piece features a 3.3 x 1.0 x 0.5 cm gem crystal of totally limpid clarity and of high quality in every manner (color, termination, form, condition). This is really quite an amazing pink-lavender Topaz miniature. They are very rare, and good, aesthetic specimens like this are difficult to obtain. The luster is superb, as is the gemminess, and the color. This stunning gem has a mass of 5.9 grams. You simply do not see such things for sale anymore, especially in size and clarity such as this.
