Framed by three smaller crystals is a magnificent, 11.8 cm tall, sceptered quartz crystal colored richly with hematite inclusions in red to brick hues. A colorless stem leads to a huge, lustrous and translucent, termination with smoky-colored overtones. There is even a coating of brown hematite on some of the terminal faces. This is from the famous Charlie Key collection of African Quartzes, assembled over the 1990s-2000s, and sold off in around 2010.
