Carrollite
Carrollite is a rare copper, cobalt, nickel sulfide, with the very finest of the species coming from the Kamoya South mines in the DRC. This great crystal dates from the late 1990s finds here that were brought out in a few large lots by the Gobin brothers; and this still remains the greatest find of the species to this day. This excellent miniature has sharp, well-defined cube-octahedral faces with a bright, mirror-like, metallic luster. This excellent single crystal measures 4 cm across. Carrollites from this area are the world's best! This textbook, stunning geometric crystal is 85 grams. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - SCH4840
