Fine copper is not common from Chinese localities, for whatever reason. However, a spectacular find of these branched, elegant copper crystals came out in 2017-2018 and we were fortunate enough that one of our sources connected to the mines call to ask if we wanted to keep some… from the smelter! They were going to be melted for ore; I believe that most of which we did not buy, indeed, were smelted. This is a complete floater cluster, very robust, of finely grown copper crystals interwoven with one another.
