Fluorite with Quartz$8,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A nearly 2 kilo specimen, complete all around, of stunning blue fluorite from this classic French locality. Most of these specimens came out in the 1960s and 1970s, with some into the 1980s if we recall. Nearly all that we have seen for sale in the last decades, seem to be flat plates and indeed, most specimens were but this is a three-dimensional piece that displays well from all sides. One side is associated with sparkly quartz crystals atop while the other is not, so it presents each view differently. It has no damage of note and is essentially as pristine as nature can give, especially from this mine where most other specimens show wear, small damages, and have been restored by modern labs. This piece, however, has been locked in Dr. Pohl's collection for decades and was never sent for lab prep and special cleaning - it is entirely natural and as such, without restorations that we see on others on the market today. It is a special blue color, still famous decades later, from France. Crystals reach to 4 cm and are very translucent. 1940 grams. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 76588
