What a spectacular gem Zircon from Burma, or anywhere! Have you ever seen Zircon crystals like this, with gem clarity, glassy luster, sublime color zonation and perfect form?! This stout, dark amber-pink crystal measures 1.5 cm in length with a square, 1.1 cm outline. This splendid Zircon has sharp, textbook, tetragonal form and complete water-clear transparency. The pyramidal termination is super sharp with some small faces providing interesting modifications, while the opposing end is not terminated, but it has a small hole that extends a little way up into the crystal where it may have grown on a pre-existing mineral. This zirconium silicate beauty has a mass of 5.2 grams. It also fluoresces a vibrant yellow in short wave UV and a subtle orange in long wave UV.
