Obtained directly from the Colombian miner, this is a particularly fine and absolutely gemmy transparent example of the typical refined style of Colombian quartz that shows complex horizontal pattern lines; and is known in the crystal healing world for that reason. It is unusual in that the single laser-like crystal is balanced by a nice cluster of quartz at the base, so it presents dramatically but is also not "just a single" crystal. The piece has only been cleaned with water, so it is literally natural and mine-run, which is shocking when you think about how clean and perfect these seem to form in nature. These specimens from Colombia with amazing horizontal striae are often referred to as "Lemurian," a term I heard first in the late 1980s. I was surprised to find this seemingly correlated to a lost continent in the public lore that seemed to start going viral by the standards of the day.
