This is very classic material from a single large discovery, certainly the world's largest volume found for species and the only notable find with these shocking hedgehog-like clusters of orange crystals. Previously, creedite was a fairly rare mineral (and remains so, actually). While older collectors considered the best crystals to be lavender colored specimens from a few other locations, these orange creedite specimens have a beauty, quality, sparkle, and generally an overall specimen size (and, therefore, an impact...) way beyond what was found in the past at other locations. This is a particularly elegant specimen from these famous finds in the early 2000s. Ruben Avila was the scout in Mexico for Mike New's company TopGem, and helped bring them to market. This was one he kept aside for his personal collection at the time they came out. It is 3-dimensional and nearly complete all around.
