Description
It is not often that we see a piece of lapidary material that makes for a desirable mineral specimen as well, but this gorgeous piece is one of those: a very fine, nearly hemispherical, polished Quartz piece with a large, internal and very stunning, golden Rutile star standing straight up and balanced within. The rutile cluster has a small, lustrous Hematite crystal at the center. The Rutile needles emanate from the Hematite crystal in a five-rayed star that is perfectly preserved inside the Quartz. It's like looking into an aquarium where a golden metal sculpture has been placed. This piece is so visually beautiful, it is hard to convey, and is certainly one of the best examples of this famous inclusion material in the size range, that we could imagine! Ex. Silverhorn (Mike Ridding) to the Kerith Graeber collection (she kept a small collection of superb, unique, and interesting polished lapidary items for many years, and acquired this from Mike's famous store in Santa Barbara in 2003).
