Carrollite on Calcite$21,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Inarguably, the world's best carrollite specimens come from the Kamoya mines, where large, brilliant, sharp crystals, were found in abundance in only a few major pockets in the late 90s and early 2000s. The main crystal here measures approx. 3.5 cm across, 2 cm on edge, with the brightest luster you could ask for from the species. As a bonus that brings this to the top level of connoisseurship for the material, the carrollite sits proudly on a large, sharp calcite crystal, over 8 cm across, with some bits of bornite and/or chalcopyrite providing some rainbow iridescence on the left side. MATRIX SPECIMENS are extremely uncommon and always have been. This crystal, unlike almost all others, sits on an actual crystal of calcite instead of the usual massive rock or massive calcite, and the usual jumbly-looking matrix which is frankly ugly. It is, quite simply, one of a very very few carrollite specimens that exist in all the world on a beautiful matrix. The BEST possible dream matrix for any crystal of interest would be crystallized, with color and geometry contrast....here, we have all three qualities. Additionally, the calcite has a nice luster and surface patterning so it is actually pretty, as well. We cannot overemphasize the rarity of such a specimen, among thousands perhaps that are loose or on an ugly matrix. This simply leaps out to the eye because you can display it properly, vertically, on a custom base (included).
