Hubnerite and Apatite(?) with Quartz$2,450.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This is one of those classic, parallel to slightly divergent clusters of tightly grouped Hubnerite crystals that is adorned with bursts of Quartz crystals on both sides. The piece measures nearly 5 inches tall and 1.5 inches in width and is composed of well over a dozen elongated, bladed crystals of Hubnerite. It's a very statuesque, aesthetic piece with sharp-edged, brown-gray, submetallic Hubnerite crystals embellished with several sprays of translucent white, 0.3 to 1 cm Quartz crystals on one side, and dozens of similar sprays on the other side that start at the bottom of the piece and climb two-thirds of the way up. The Hubnerites are nicely terminated on the top end and the piece is contacted at the bottom where it was removed from the pocket. It's a very attractive and tall cluster of Hubnerite with good luster and great color contrast with the associated Quartz. All of this is where the value lies, however, there is a bonus. We presumed the little grey blobs were arsenic, until we unintentionally realized the specs were fluorescent, and arsenic is not. Numerous, 1 to 2 mm, dove-gray colloform blebs of apatite, we believe, are speckled up and down the Hubnerite crystals that fluoresce a bright yellow under short wave UV! This was totally unexpected for us! An attractive and unusual display specimen from Peru!
