A very aesthetic Chinese gold from far Western China, from a new find in 2023. This is a treelike specimen of heavy gold, surrounding and going up from a pedestal of quartz like flames to the sky, and masses 29 grams (nearly an ounce, and that is mostly the gold weight). Complete all around, this is just a gorgeous example for the size range, no matter where it is from, China or otherwise...it is just a fine, balanced, pretty specimen. The color, however, is particularly pure-gold-yellow, so it has great contrast. As for location, that IS a bonus if anybody collects gold by location, of course.
