Fluorite with Galena$2,400.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Fluorites from Rogerley have been coming out sporadically for the past 50 years and in 2017 produced a new discovery at this new tunnel, the so-called Diana Maria mine, located in the western extension of the Rogerley quarry. This cabinet sized specimen consists of many gemmy, green twinned fluorites (up to 2.3 cm across on this specimen) covering the front and back of the piece. It is associated with galena on one side - a classic combination from England. There is only very minimal damage around the periphery, typical from the extraction and trimming process but it does not detract from the overall aesthetics of this piece. The pocket these pieces came from - The Queen of Green pocket - has produced some of the finest specimens to date for their luster and color. Like all of the other green fluorites from this locality, this displays a strong daylight fluorescence, becoming a dark blue-green with the smallest bit of sunlight. Under UV light, the fluorites show a uniform bright blue-purple color! A wonderful double-sided cabinet piece from this new pocket! It was originally priced at $5000 by the dealer bringing the pocket to market. We are pleased to announce that we made a sizable purchase of the stashed material from this find, which had been put away before COVID, and so we are now able to offer them years later and at half the original asking prices!
