Quartz (var. Amethyst)
Very well formed gwindel showing a good angle of torsion. What is remarkable in this sample is that the quartz crystals that make it up have amethyst ends and scepter formation. Amethyst is already rare in the Alps, but gwindel formation for this mineral is very unusual.
