Epidote
Plate covered on its upper surface with small calcite crystals studded with vertical diverging fans of black and shiny epidote crystals. The black & white contrast with the calcite carpet is quite unusual for this mine. In strong light, the terminations of the epidote crystals actually appear translucent and green in a certain direction, but amber in another direction (strong dichroism).
