This beautiful specimen is among the finest from that find. The crystals are extraordinarily sharp, lustrous, well formed, and undamaged, and they rest on a contrasting matrix of white quartz. Furthermore they exhibit the "alexandrite effect," appearing to be purple in incandescent light and turquoise-blue in daylight.
