Acanthite
Acanthite (silver sulfide) is one of the most important ore minerals of silver. In rare cases it is found in skeletal crystal growths such as this magnificent cluster. This example is unusually large and perfect, with interesting parallel crystallizations and an overall attractive shape. Bits of matrix and associated minerals adhere at the bottom.
