Originally established for silver mining, the Emma Mine was Montana’s most significant rhodochrosite source, and Butte’s largest manganese mine, but it has been completely destroyed and reclaimed since its heydays in the 1930s to 1950s.This specimen is a rare American classic with a nice cluster of semi-lustrous opaque pink rhodochrosite rhombohedrons.
