Calcite
This specimen was purchased in 1947 for $25 according to the original label. Adjusted to 2022 that is approximatley 330 dollars. This just goes to show that good minerals have always commanded prices commensurate with quality. This particular clacite is of the “nailhead” shape. A true English classic.
