Milpillas is quite famed for it’s spectacular azurite crystals. This specimen features blocky sharp crystals on a tuft of matrix with some associated malachite. Milpillas specimens are a staple for any serious generalized worldwide collection. The mine has opened and shut over the past several years and it will certainly be a sad day for mineral collectors when these specimens stop being available.
