Description
A wonderful core of pink morganite is surrounded by aquamarine in this bi color beryl. The specimens is large at over 12cm wide and over 800 grams. I normally abhor this sentiment but holy crud this would make an amazing carving. This specimen is sadly lacking an exact mine name as many specimens from this area of the world. This is largely due to secrecy of the miners and the dealers who are afraid that someone may find out the localities these fantastic gems are coming from. This is true of even of fantastic specimens such as the large cabinet bi color beryl in the Harvard collection. The specimen is etched on the back side. I suspect the front face has been polished to showcase the wonderful color.
