Pyromorphite
A gorgeous cluster of brightly colored Bunker Hill Pyromorphite from the famous late 1980s finds here. This gorgeous Pyromorphite mini consists of dozens of super lustrous bright green and some burnt orangish crystals from 2 mm to 1 cm with some of the larger green crystals showing hoppering at the termination. It's a very aesthetic grouping that belonged to the well known miniature suite of Mike and Mary Jaworski and still retains their label (with an $1150 price tag from selling it to me in around 2008). Frequent visitors to the Bunker Hill Mine, Mike was also a geologist who helped mine owner Bob Hopper collect pockets and was allowed to keep a miniature from each pocket for his own collection documenting the finds of several dozen pockets from one stope of this old 1800s era silver mine. This is a particularly elegant miniature that was stashed in our warehouse and resurfaced recently.
