A large, showy Hematite cluster of unusual style AND unusually large in size from Ouro Preto displaying abundant complex and geometric growth forms everywhere! This cabinet piece abounds with subtle complexity and literally dozens of thin, bright, hexagonal-shaped plates stacked in every direction in parallel growth and crystallographic alignment. It's perplexing how this Hematite formed! A very interesting, geometric and artistic piece! Different than our others here from the same pocket and find. Both sides look almost equally as good! Edges are in good condition displaying a satin luster and it is nearly complete all around. Recovered in late 2023. Hard to convey in photos, this piece in particular is so much more impressive in person.
