A rare specimen of large terminated bladed crystals of Atacamite from Mount Gunson mine in South Australia - one of Australia's most famous Atacamite localities. The specimen shows three prominent prismatic bladed crystals at the front, measuring to 2.3 cm in length, which form a divergent array. There are several further terminated crystals of Atacamite on the specimen, lining a shell-like bowl of brown to black Goethite gossan matrix. The Atacamite ranges from a rich leafy-chrome green to a lustrous deep bottle-green at the crystal terminations. A fine specimen of Atacamite from Mount Gunson, a mine that works a copper-silver-cobalt deposit.
