Stephanite
This thumbnail specimen of the silver antimony sulphosalt Stephanite, is a great example of this rare mineral for anyone wanting to add the species to their collection. Ex. matrix, and composed entirely of Stephanite crystals, the graphite-grey cluster has a bright metallic to occasionally waxy lustre and although orthorhombic, forms flattened distorted crystals which appear roughly hexagonal, with individual crystals up to 1.3 cm across. This rich specimen of Stephanite is from Niederschlema in the Erzgebirge district of Saxony, Germany.
