This superb thumbnail crystallized Native Gold comes from the famous Round Mountain mine in Nevada, USA. It might only be 2 cm tall, but it presents extremely sharp Native Gold crystals in some elegant forms: from hoppered; elongated; and pointed, and with a stunning bright metallic gold colour. Magnification is required to enjoy the crystals at their best, but Native Gold is rarely so well crystallized and this lovely off-matrix specimen displays their shapes and forms really well with its elongated growths of parallel crystals. A small by characterful piece. It has a Nett weight 1.4g.
