Rhodochrosite on Quartz
A tremendous specimen of bright coral pink Rhodochrosite on Quartz from the Cavnic mining area in Romania. The Rhodochrosite forms crystallized translucent hemispheres averaging 5 to 7 mm in diameter with a bright glassy lustre on a sparkling druse of pinkish pyramidal Quartz crystals. These cover a matrix of banded delicate pink and cream Rhodochrosite. A delightful Cavnic specimen.
