Superb, transparent, pale sea-green cubic crystals of Fluorite to over 3 cm on edge are intergrown to form a chain of successive cubes. This Fluorite is a fine example from the Xianghualing Sn-polymetallic ore field in Linwu County, Hunan Province, China, a district of complex and varied ore bodies emanating from three granite stocks. Most of the Fluorite crystals have smooth, lustrous cube faces with stepped modifications on the octahedron. There is also a preferential coating of equant, glassy, light grey Calcite crystals of typically 3 to 5 mm across. An excellent Chinese Fluorite.
