AMBER with insect$200.00

Water-worn Amber pebbles containing included insects are always fascinating even if, like me, you know very little about fossils. This great example has been taken from a bracelet or necklace, evident from the small diameter drill hole through which to pass a thread. The Amber, a fossil tree resin, is golden syrup orangey-yellow and the winged insect lies entrapped towards one end. This can be seen very clearly without disruption because the surrounding Amber does not include gas bubbles of other organic debris. A great example from the shores of the Baltic Sea.
