A heavy dense mass of burnt toffee-orange Campylite crystals, the barrel-shaped crystal variety of Mimetite from Dry Gill mine in the Caldbeck Fells of Cumbria, England. The Campylite forms rounded aggregates of up to 6 mm diameter together with granular Campylite of the same colour. An almost continuous narrow rim of lemon-yellow Campylite encircles the interface with the black manganese-rich matrix.
