The rare lead-gold-tellurium sulphosalt Nagyagite is one of the iconic mineral species from its type locality at S?c?r'mb in Hunedoara county, Romania. The former name for S?c?r'mb was Nagy'g. Rarely does this species form crystals as magnificent as in this museum quality specimen, with metallic steely silver plates of up to at least 1.2 cm long and approaching 1 cm wide. These form a dense and rich 4.5 x 2 cm cluster within a Calcite vein with a boudinage structure, i.e. widening towards the centre of the mineralised cavity. The crystallised Nagyagite plates are surrounded by tiny terminated Calcite crystals. This small cabinet specimen is accompanied by three labels, two of them contemporary Austrian collectors and the third, an antique 8.5 x 8.5 cm card label from the Museum of Natural History in Vienna, with an accompanying coat of arms. Without any doubt, this is one of the richest and best crystallised Nagyagites I have encountered.
