Olivenite
The Kr'sno-Horn' Slavkov mining district exploited rich deposits of tin and tungsten; has over 130 recorded mineral species and is type locality to five obscure species. This miniature crystallised Olivenite is a rare specimen from this mine and is composed of a vuggy Quartz veinstone containing several larger terminated Quartz crystals, over which a pervasive druse of micro-acicular Olivenite has crystallised. The Olivenite forms a micro-botryoidal, rich, dark leaf green carpet with a velvety texture over many faces of the matrix. Kr'sno-Horn' Slavkov is in the Karlovy Vary Region of Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The fine miniature is accompanied with the previous collector's card label.
