Scheelite with Muscovite$2,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This gorgeous butterscotch orange octahedral Scheelite crystal set amongst blades of Muscovite Mica is from the majestic Mount Xuebaoding in Pingwu County, Sichuan Province, China. Mount Xuebaoding, meaning 'Snowy Treasure Peak' in Chinese, is near the easternmost edge of the Tibetan Plateau in China and is 5,588 m (18,333 ft) in elevation. The large, equant octahedral Scheelite measures 2.5 cm along each edge and is translucent with a crazed interior which reflects back incident light as dazzling amber and honey golds. Interestingly, in LWUV the Muscovite fluoresces a dull greyish silver with no fluorescence from the Scheelite while under SWUV, the Scheelite fluoresces an ethereal white. Three much smaller yet good Scheelite crystals are also embedded in the Muscovite matrix. The specimen comes with the previous collector's label.
