Two off-matrix, interpenetrant, part-crystals of Galena beautifully demonstrate the cuboctahedral habit, with more emphasis on the cube than the octahedron. The crystals remain fresh greyish silver with a bright metallic lustre and on certain faces exhibit a fuchsia pink and slightly turquoise sky blue iridescence. Small, greenish-black Sphalerite crystals are sparsely scattered over the surfaces of the Galena; the largest of which measures 4 mm and all display a rather beautiful green-bronze, bright metallic iridescence and lustre. A beautiful and interesting Galena with Sphalerite from Stříbro in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.
