Clinoclase with Malachite Azurite and Baryte$5,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A remarkable cabinet specimen of rich dark blue lustrous crystalline balls and crystals of Clinoclase with botryoidal green Malachite and fine royal blue Azurite crystals. It is from the Mammoth mine, north-east of the town of Mammoth in the Tintic District of Juab County, Utah, USA. The Clinoclase with Malachite, Azurite all pleasingly occupy an elongated cavity of bladed white-colourless Baryte crystals in a Quartz-Sulphide matrix. This former Cu-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-As mine should not be confused with Mammoth St. Anthony mine in Arizona! Both mines lie close to towns named Mammoth, despite this being such an unusual name for a town. The nodular matrix of creamy white Baryte mixed with Quartz, Sulphides and massive Malachite contains a deep, 4.5 cm long horizontal vug across its display surface. This is richly lined with greenish indigo blue Clinoclase crystals; bright inky azure blue Azurite crystals; crystalline and massive peppermint green Malachite, these interspersed with white cockscomb blades of Baryte. An aesthetic display specimen of Clinoclase with Malachite, Azurite and Baryte from Mammoth mine, Utah. This specimen was originally in the New York State Museum before passing to the Lawrence Henry Conklin collection.\n
