NATIVE Bismuth with Dolomite$7,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
An outstanding specimen of Native Bismuth as superb crystals on a matrix of Dolomite from the classic German mining district of Schlema-Hartenstein in the Erzgebirge of Saxony. These are some of the oldest worked deposits in Europe, with the Erzgebirge translating to 'The Ore Mountains' or 'Ore Mountain Range'. The Native Bismuth forms whiteish-sliver crystals up to about 1 cm long, with four-sided pyramidal terminations. In crystals where the prism faces are not so well developed, the crystals appear more octahedral. The underlying Dolomite has formed as two or more generations, the later stage crystals appearing quite gemmy and with colour zoned edges. A first-class Native Bismuth from the Erzgebirge, with a great aesthetic appeal.
