Sphalerite with Calcite and Dolomite$3,000.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A rare and superb crystal of yellow Sphalerite from the Franklin Mining District in Sussex County, New Jersey, USA. Well crystallised Sphalerite is uncommon at Franklin to say the least and yellow crystals are even more scarce. This excellent crystal measures 1 cm wide at its apex where it displays a flat pinacoidal face. The crystal is a slightly acidic dull lemon yellow and sit snugly within a shallow vug lined with creamy-white Dolomite crystals in a block of massive Dolomite rock. The Dolomite fluoresces faint lemon white under LWUV light. This yellow variety of Sphalerite is colloquially known as Golden Sphalerite and this is a magnificent crystal from the Franklin mines.
