An excellent miniature of well-formed Andradite Garnet crystals measuring to 1.2 cm, displaying the trapezohedron habit. The semi-lustrous, silky Andradite crystals are of a very deep dark brown with occasional translucent yellow-brown areas. From Ocna de Fier in the Banat Mountains of Cara?-Severin County, Romania, the Andradite is partly surrounded with minor Calcite crystals on a creamy coloured carbonate matrix with included sulphides. A terrific Andradite Garnet from Ocna de Fier.
